Rising From The Dead...

Just in time for halloween, Pinhead Games claws its way from the grave to confirm that we are indeed not dead! However, this resurfacing has not come without casualties. As some of you may know, I have recently joined the talented team of adventure game mad-men (and mad-women) at Telltale Games and as a result, I have been very busy working with these folks to bring some of the best adventure games to life! (Just check out the return of Sam and Max!). Naturally, the time I have to dedicate to free web games has become somewhat limited. Unfortunately, this has led us to make a very heart breaking decision.. Nelly The Wonder Dog has been officially put on hold. Which, for all intents and purposes means pretty much canceled, but, we would consider reviving it sometime in the future if things come together.

The good news is that this decision means that we can keep our focus on our other projects in the works, such as Nearly Departed (and perhaps a secret unannounced game?)

#Nearly Departed Update

We've been getting alot of letters asking how far along Nearly Departed is coming, so here's the latest update direct from the game's designer, John Green.

"I've been focusing entirely on backgrounds, and I'm probably about 75% done with them. It's hard to gauge since many are in various stages of completion (around half are 100% finished, a quarter are 60% finished, and the last quarter are 30% finished.)

As for animation, only about 10% of that is done. And inventory items are being redone.

I've updated the gallery section of the Nearly Departed website with a couple new backgrounds and some more development art and sketches."

Stop by our forums and congratulate John on his recent marriage!

#Final Thoughts…

Although things at Pinhead Games are slower than usual, rest assured that the great games are coming! Whether it's John Green's amazing zombie adventure, 'Nearly Departed' or the cutting edge episodic adventures from Telltale Games like 'Sam & Max', the future of point and click has never been brighter! Seriously,if you haven't tried Sam & Max: Culture Shock yet, go do so right now!
