Who is Pinhead Games?
Pinhead Games was created in 1987 by Mark Darin as an independent developer of freeware games for the C-64. Since then Pinhead games has developed games for several platforms including the Amiga and PC. Most recently we have shifted our focus to specialize in web-based point & click adventures that can be played within a web browser.
Why do you use Macromedia Flash instead of a program specifically designed for creating graphic adventures?
Flash has a lot of specific advantages. Not only is it a program that I am comfortable with and its cross-platform compatible, but it allows us to create games that can be played in a web browser without much hassle. There is no need to download and install the game. No problems with extra speech packs. No video card compatibility problems. It doesn't even matter whether you use a PC, Mac, or Linux! For the user, this is extremely convenient. Flash made it possible for us to reach millions of gamers because the games are so easily accessible.
Are all of your games free?
We take great pride in creating quality adventure games that we can bring to you for free! At this time we have every intention of continuing this tradition. In addition, we are in the process of evaluating the market in consideration of a commercial endeavor. No solid plans are set yet, but in the future we hope to be able to offer premium content for sale as well as continuing to bring you our free games.
Will you hire me?
All work done on our not-for-profit freeware games is strictly volunteer. You are more than welcome to apply! We are always on the lookout for new talent whether you are an artist, actor, illustrator, or animator!
